Differences between the Three Kinds of PCS Ball Valves?

The PCS ball valve comes in single piece, two piece or three piece designs. What are the differences between the three?

The structure

The one piece ball valve is composed of the ball, PTFE O-ring and lock nut. The diameter of the ball is slightly smaller than that of the pipe, which is similar to the wide ball valve.

The two piece ball valve consists of two parts. Its sealing effect is better than that of the one-piece ball valve. The diameter of the ball is the same as that of the pipe, and the two-piece ball valve is easier to disassemble than the one-piece one.

The three piece ball valve is formed by three parts, the bonnets on both sides and the valve body in the middle. Different from single piece and two piece ball valves, the three piece one is easy to disassemble and maintain.

The pressure

The pressure resistance of three-piece ball valves is much higher than one-piece and two-piece ones. The outside part of the three piece ball valve is usually fixed by four bolts so that the part can be firmer. The pressure of the decision casting valve body can achieve 1000 PSI, approximately equal to 6.9 MPa. A forged valve body is needed for higher pressure.

Price

A one piece ball valve has the most favorable price because its main material is less than the material of other two types. The price of the two-piece ball valve is higher than that of the one-piece ball valve. Three-piece ball valves, having higher pressure resistance, are composed of three parts, so the price of the materials is higher than that of other two types.
